Early Education Coach

OCCDA has 50+ year legacy as an early learning program that strives to make a difference in our community by supporting children and families. We work to promote family success and improve kindergarten readiness for children. As a staff member you will have opportunities to grow as an individual and professionally and support our philosophy of parents as the primary educator of their children

About the position:

The Early Learning Coach will work with classroom staff to use interactive process of observation, discussion, and reflection to promote the classroom’s staff’s ability to grow toward identified goals. The goals will revolve around providing a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills in a classroom environment.

Education and Experience:

  • BA (or advanced degree) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
  • Experience as an early learning coach, consultant, mentor, or trainer.
  • Valid WA State Driver’s License.
  • Bilingual/Spanish preferred.

Post Hire requirements: (OCCDA will provide these training's)

  • CLASS Observation Certification) within six-months of hire.
  • Creative Curriculum Training for Infants Toddlers and Twos within six-months of hire.
  • Parents as Teachers Foundational and Implementation training within 1 year of hire.
  • Early Achievers Coach Training within six-months of hire.
  • Complete Coach Orientation Webinars within six-months of hire.

Details:

  • Full-time 40hr per week
  • 52 weeks per year
  • Wage $29.15 per hour for qualified applicant
  • Access to continuing education
  • Regular access to a team, who will support you in all aspects of your teaching duties
