About the position:

To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and/or agency policies and procedures.

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Preschool:Initial & General certificate or enrolled in the program to be completed within 24 months of hire, or DCYF Equivalent education or higher degree

The position is 40 hours per week for 40 weeks per year with a starting salary of $16.38 per hour, depending on education. If you do not have your certificates or equivalent DCYF degree but are willing to obtain your certificates/degree while working we hire at a provisional rate of $15.60 per hour!
