We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in performing diverse accounting functions in support of the Fiscal Department. Skills such as prioritizing and managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines with accuracy. This role requires the ability to collect, organize, and distribute information effectively, and maintain accurate records in line with compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing tasks with attention to detail.
- Experience with multiple funding sources including federal grants
- Overseeing the fiscal department including; general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, monthly & annual reporting, compliance, and audit preparation and follow up.
- Supervising two staff using strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- General understanding of all functions in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general Ledger and the interaction between these functions.
- Ability to identify and correct errors in underlying transactions and financial reporting.
- Ability to reconcile subsidiary ledgers to control accounts.
- Ability to quickly learn and retain concepts that may be unfamiliar.
- Work as a contributing, collaborative member of a team.
- Utilizing technology to manage data and prepare clear, comprehensive reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Abila or other fiscal software, and database systems is required. A solid understanding of general accounting principles is essential. `
Education and Experience Required:
- Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field; or Accounting certificate.
- 2 years of accounting experience, to include accounts payable, payroll, audits, and budgeting.
- 1 year of experience using Microsoft or Google suite applications, accounting software, and computer systems.
- Knowledge of employee health and wellness benefits.
- 1 year direct supervisory experience.
Additional Details:
Full-time 40hr per week
52 Weeks per year
Wage $32.56 per hour
