 About the position:

To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities.  To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare.  Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and/or agency policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience:

  • General and Initial State Certificate or higher degree, OR
  • DCYF equivalent education
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 1 year experience in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education preferred.
  • Work experience and knowledge in curriculums and early childhood development.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bilingual/Spanish


The position is 40 hours per week for 38 weeks per year with a starting salary of $19.12 per hour, depending on education.This position is eligible for the following Benefits; Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Retirement, Employee Assistance Program, Paid Time Off.
